MVP | BOARD-RACK BIKES HAVE LANDED 

EXCLUSIVE – Aussie classic-motorcycle enthusiasts, Deus, have just begun rolling out their first batch of moto’s fitted with surfboard racks. mesurf spoke with Mikey (the bikie) from Deus to get the lowdown on these nifty little froth-mobiles.

Here's how it went down..

Mick: So what’s the story, Mikey?
Mikey: We got bikes with board-racks for sale.
Mick: Rad
Mikey: Totally
Mick: What’s the bike model?
Mikey: They’re all 2nd–hand, late model, 50cc, 4-Stroke, Honda ‘Zoomer’s
Mick: Cool. Source?
Mikey: They’re imported from Japan.
Mick: And then?
Mikey: And then we attach the racks..
Mick: Of course.

Mick: Top speed?
Mikey: 65km p/hr.
Mick: Price?
Mikey: $4000
Mick: Board size-limit?
Mikey: Commonsense approach.
Mick: SUP?
Mikey: Nup.
Mick: Have you ever been know as ‘Mick’
Mikey: No, ‘Mick’ is a very bogan expression of ‘Michael’.
Mick: Agreed, I just can’t shake it.

Mikey: Shark.
Mick: Interesting.
 

Hey, I’m sure there are Franken-froth cowboys out there who’ve already fused a homemade rack to their bike – but as far as we know, this is the first time an Aussie moto company has rolled out a range for public purchase.

Apart from looking like a mad-dog, these puppies would be great for getting around the beaches – you’ll avoid traffic and enjoy easy parking.

  Things have cooled off here over the past week, quite literally. The summer temps were holding on for what seemed like forever, then overnight, things dropped a good 10-15 degrees and it's been that way since. A lot of bad weather has dominated the local outlook in this past week.
